City celebrates World Facilities Management Day in Bellville

Wednesday, 14 May 2025, marked World Facilities Management Day, a day which recognises the Facilities Management profession and the difference these professionals make in keeping an organisation’s facilities safe and productive. The City of Cape Town's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys, celebrated this day at the Bellville Municipal Building. The theme for this year is 'Resilience in Action: FM Thriving in a World of Change.'

‘Maintaining City of Cape Town facilities and working together to maintain properties is of utmost importance to us. On Wednesday, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work; from gardening and cleaning to making the building winter-ready. Every action reflected our commitment to sustainability, adaptability and the vital role of Facilities Management in our changing world,’ said the Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
